Randi Moxi is an entrepreneur/owner of her own marketing firm, author of the children’s book, A Pittie Pool Party, a motivational speaker, and holds the Mrs. Illinois 2014 crown.
Randi spent time as a young girl in an animal shelter run by her grandmother and learned about the out-of-control pet population. She hopes that through her book, A Pittie Pool Party, people are encouraged to not only treat other human beings with respect and grace, but that they will treat animals with the same kindness – and choose to rescue whenever possible. Randi believes acceptance starts and grows through thoughtful communication and respect for others, as well as understanding the love and value that both people and animals can bring to all our lives. These overarching themes are included in separate presentations for young people Pre-K – 6th grade, and for middle/high school students. More information on Randi’s book, and her youth presentations can be found below. Additional details can be found in Randi’s Press Kit – which can be viewed/downloaded from this website.
A Pittie Pool Party Children’s Book Description: Starring a rescued pit bull and the girl that saved her, A Pittie Pool Party brings lessons and blessings to school aged children and families. Great for all ages, the book is the perfect gift for those who want to share the power of friendship, nonjudgement, acceptance and messages about dog/animal rescue. A Pittie Pool Party encourages sharing emotions, laying a healthy groundwork for communication, and accepting vulnerability. It also demonstrates how judging any person or creature before knowing them can cause harm to everyone. The power of friendship, inclusivity, acceptance, and the gifts that can come from rescuing animals are also shared, and a portion of each book sale is donated to animal rescue efforts.
Randi’s Presentations for Youth – Pre-K to 6th Grade: Randi inspires and motivates elementary school students through reading her children’s book, A Pittie Pool Party in classrooms and at school assemblies. Randi offers fun exercises before and after she reads the book and helps kids to understand they are each “awesome.” She helps to activate the power of positivity in their choices and reminds them they have the power to make any day great using their “superpowers” (kindness, empathy, positivity, and inclusivity), which are reinforced throughout the presentation.
Randi’s Presentation for Middle and High School Students: Randi shares the bullying eras of her life and the challenges she faced with pre-teens and teenagers, and illustrates how finding her passion in the sport of pageantry – where bullying isn’t allowed – provided her with many gifts that showed her how to be strong, and kind, and to persevere to reach her goals. Randi is focused on empowering and motivating young people by sharing her message of turning adversity around to become a strength and a gift that shows us how we should all live. She stresses respecting one another and our differences and that being cruel to others is not ever a path to success.

ASSEMBLIES
During our Elementary School Assembly, Randi Moxi shared her wisdom and the heartwarming story of her children’s book “A Pittie Pool Party.” 📚 This book champions friendship, inclusivity, and acceptance, along with teaching powerful lessons about kindness and how judging any person or creature before knowing them as an individual can cause harm to them – and to us.
During our Middle School Assembly entitled “Bullied But Triumphant,” Randi inspired us all with her personal experience of overcoming adversity, and the importance of embracing others instead of joining the masses to be cruel.
Today’s assemblies were a true source of inspiration! We know Randi’s words will stay with our students for a long time and positively impact them on their path towards becoming responsible global citizens!

BOOK, A PITTIE POOL PARTY
Great story with an even better message! My students enjoyed this book! Although the story is about giving pit bulls a loving chance, it also pairs well with teaching acceptance and getting to know others before placing judgment. Great tool for the classroom! We loved it! ~ JENNA, Illinois teacher
My second graders enjoyed your book! Four of them have pit bulls, so they could relate to the book well. I loved the message about not approaching dogs without permission and the amazing story of inclusivity and friendship. Thank you so much!💛 ~Jennifer, Ohio Teacher
Randi Moxi has a way with kids! She engages them with all of the beautiful expressions on her face while she reads or speaks to them. She is amazing!! ~Andra Vintrelli, Connections Day School, Occupational Therapy Paraprofessional
Randi shared her book with my class and came in with infectious positive energy, and immediately made friends with each and every child – making all of them feel comfortable and excited for her presentation. She was interactive and expressive and able to keep their attention while reading the book, adding in questions to answer, and keeping the children engaged the entire time. We can’t wait to have her back!
